Notes During a Drive
When you
become defiant
at being the
underdog in
all life’s dealings,
The limitations are
thrown to the curb
when
attempting to become
a man…
Defeat, desire, decisions–
Some you chose,
some just a death lock
caution.
No more
calls for self-pity.
You do not go through the motions
these days,
because you are the motion.
Old Ride
Manually erected
homewrecker—gunked
with stale eyeliner & push-up
madness.
Bouncing from the smoke shop
so, she can recharge,
full power.
Destination domination at
the studly Squire Club Grill…
Knows what horned up tallies will
chase, the old pile and drive, erotic
baptism.
Left and right eyes melt into
Stucco heels.
As sacred marriage vows sorrow.
Sorry toots,
not buying that
ride anymore.

Welcome to the Aged
Ian Anderson mentions
“Eying little girls with
bad intent.”
The theater of the
dirty old man now in
desirable status.
Watch the honeys
flashing flesh for
filthy fetish.
Untouchable, without
a
warrant
from obtrusive
youth.
I really enjoy Dan’s poetry.
