While DFP is still technically on hiatus, there are obligations to be fulfilled and due to some issues with Amazon (fuck Jeff Bezos) what was intended as a July release has been unleashed in August…
Leah Mueller’s LAND OF ETERNAL THIRST AND OTHER STORIES

It feels odd to refer to someone you correspond with by their last name even if what you’re writing is semi professional but here goes…
LAND OF ETERNAL THIRST is a collection of short fiction from writer Leah Mueller, rife with desert magic, romantic wonderment and the seedy underbelly of trying to make a living. Mueller touches the heart, perplexes the mind and use words to paint various portraits of the soul colliding in a land where nothing is at is seems even when it isn’t
From “Confessions of a Phone Slut” detailing the lost years between post education and finding one’s self in the so-called real world, even calling the nature of the reality we live in itself, we get portraits of life in all its ups and downs as well as everything in-between in :”Dead Rose Buds”, “Ice Cream, Whisky and Rain”, “Falling Down” all climaxing into “Land of Eternal Thirst” ultimately tilting the axis of how we view even ourselves through the lens of and emotional bonds explored vicariously through Mueller’s writing between fiction and reality.
Though this isn’t reality hunger, but a thirst…for something eternal we may already have but not fully know and that’s the wild and crazy eternity aspect of it…
A dense philosophical treatise, heavy on human intimacy and the transcendent journey of ever evolving existence.
In a 39 page book for under six dollars.
It’s been a sheer pleasure reading Leah’s work over the years, then corresponding and finally getting the chance to publish her work in VOICES FROM THE FIRE and now this solo project from her. It’s been a honor to present this collected short volume of fiction along with fighting the trenches against corporate authoritarianism to get it out there and I encourage more people to check out Leah’s work…
